Crown Bingo Tops £1000 In Charity Donations
Crown Bingo, the UK’s number one place to play online bingo, have hit £1000 in charitable donations after a series of very successful Charity Bingo events held at their site since February. The milestone was reached following last month's successful charity event on behalf of premature baby charity BLISS.

"Without the help of generous individuals and companies like Crown Bingo we would not be able to make the difference that these most vulnerable babies desperately need", said Andy Cole, Chief Executive of BLISS.

50% of Crown Bingo’s Charity Bingo games prize pools on May 12 were donated to BLISS, which generated a phenomenal response from Crown Bingo members helping to raise money for the charity. But it was Crown Bingo’s “Knit-a-thon” that prompted the biggest response with members knitting and sending in cardigans, hats and boots to be donated to BLISS.

BLISS distribute special knitwear to neonatal clinics across the UK to help premature babies who are too small for shop bought baby clothes. In support of this, Crown Bingo Online asked its members to send in self made knitwear which they will forward to the charity as well as an extra donation for each item received.

"The response to the knit-a-thon has been astounding” said Crown Bingo’s Managing Director Dan Smyth. “We're very proud to be able to help such a worthwhile cause and it is fantastic to see so many of our members getting involved."

Crown Bingo’s previous charities include St. Oswald's Hospice and The Variety Club, Cancer Research.

Crown Bingo’s current charity appeal is for the Orchid Cancer Awareness who exist to save men's lives from male-specific cancers through funding pioneering research and promoting awareness about them. To raise money for this cause, 50% of the prize pools will be donated to the Orchid Cancer Awareness from all the Charity Bingo games between 7pm and 9pm on Monday 23rd of June.
