Wrexham bingo fan bags £18,000
One Wrexham player has cause for celebration after scoring an amazing £18,000 win at her local bingo hall.
The 58-year old Wrexham resident, who remains anonymous, won the prize at the Mecca Club, Smithfield Road, Wrexham, calling a full house in 45 numbers to win the National Bingo Game.
Before entering the game she’d made a prize-sharing promise with her sister, and has vowed to honour this, splitting the cash with her lucky sibling. She’ll also be treating her husband to a trip around Greece for their 30th wedding anniversary, where they’ll be able to enjoy a luxury trip thanks to the prize money.
The £18k windfall isn’t the only big prize to be won by Mecca Club players in recent weeks. A pensioner in Penel Orlieu, Somerset, received £11,000 at his local hall, also playing the National Bingo Game.
