UK Player Wins 1st European Bingo Championship
More than 660 online bingo players registered for Paddy Power Bingo's inaugural European Bingo Championships to win the prodigious title.
Robert Robinson from Nottinghamshire was crowned the first European Bingo Champion and won a Chevrolet Aveo car.
"Now I'm glad England weren't in Euro 2008 or I might not have entered and won the car!" said Robinson a.k.a. bobwizer. "The final was nail-biting and I was sure my heart would stop. I cannot believe I won such a great prize from playing two hours of free bingo!"
Other great prizes included a weekend in Paris, Michael Bubble tickets, a home makeover, one year of free flights, one year of free bingo, a Nintendo Wii console, a laptop and flat screen tv set.
A spokesman for Paddy Power said that the popularity of the European Bingo Championships means that the event will be repeated in 2009.
This month, Paddy Power Bingo's bringing you Diamonds every week to officially launch their new 75-Ball Diamond Room, open daily from 10am to 2pm and 8pm to 11pm!
Each week, the Roomie who bingos on the Diamond pattern the most will win a precious "Allerford" diamond trilogy ring worth over £2,000. Tickets for Diamond pattern games are only 10p.
