19 Year Old Wins £238,000 At Gala Bingo
19 year old Lisa Mitchell from Barnsley won £238,519 on the National Platinum Bingo game at her local Gala Bingo Club in Pontefract Road.
She won The National Platinum Jackpot of £222,626, as well as the National Game Prize of £13,980, the Regional Prize of £1,109, plus the house prize of £394, which gives her total winnings of £238,519!
Lisa, who works as a sales consultant, is going to split the massive win with her bingo buddies Lesley and Gemma.
“ I just ran out screaming when I realised how much I had won and rang everyone I could think of,” said the lucky winner. “Gemma and I celebrated the next morning with a breakfast at McDonald’s. There is so much we can do now that we have the money. We can buy a house and do it up how we want and still be able to have holidays."
“The atmosphere in the Club on Sunday night when the win was announced was amazing,” said Mandy Rylance, the assistant Manager at the Gala Bingo Club. “My eardrums feel like they are perforated from all the screaming and cheering that went on. To win almost a quarter of a million pounds must feel marvelous.”
