London Gran Scoops £34,000!
A 72-year-old grandmother from Mottingham in south-east London has won more than £34,000 playing Bingo.
The part time clerical worker was playing at the Mecca Club in Eltham Hill when she completed a full house in 39 calls and won the National Bingo Game prize of almost £33,000, plus the Regional prize of £2,000 and the house prize of £115.
“It’s really going to change my life and I couldn’t thank Bingo enough if I tried,” said the lucky winner who couldn’t stop crying after she had realised just how much she had won., “Now we’ve got the money we can say, ‘Yes, I can have this’ or ‘Yes, I can do that’ without even thinking about it. It’s lovely.”
She intends to use the money to treat her family and to visit her daughter who lives in France.
