Gala Bingo Quits National Bingo Prize
According to the Sun, Britain’s most popular tabloid newspaper, the National Bingo Game was dealt a heavy blow after Gala Bingo said it will pull out in August.
The decision will see the loss of over 175 of the current 500 clubs taking part around the UK.
This will be a major drawback for small bingo halls, which are not able to offer huge prizes like leading operators such as Gala and Mecca.
The National Game links British Bingo halls through a central computer and has paid out more than £1billion in prizes since its launch in 1986.
Gala Bingo wants to focus on their own jackpot game.
